Somizi dragged into the MacG/LGTBQI war
It seems MacG is going to be trending for a while and its going to be one bumpy roller coaster ride. Amid the LGBTQIs uproar towards MacG, the community is cleaning house and apparently Somizi is one of the fakes. A twitter user @BadubeS takes to the platform to call out Mhlongo, setting Twitter ablaze.
I repeat: @somizi stands for NOTHING!!!! He’s more than happy to take all the credit of LGBTQI representation, yet when it’s time show up & stand for something, he’s busy on IG taking videos of sponsored Smeg Dolce & Gabanna kettles
The community is clearly unhappy about Somizi’s silence. But could people give him a break, the man has a lot on his plate. From defending his marriage and protecting his show Dinner at Somizi‘s, Mhlongo is on the hot seat. The tweep carries on with his rant and it’s clear he/she has it out for Somizi.
Dear Community At least Melusi stands for something. When are we going to be honest about Somizi who has been put on the pedestal to represent the LGBTIQ community, YET he stands for NOTHING! When are we going to be honest about this Mhlongo airhead? So rich, yet so poor!
Fortunately for Somizi, some tweeps are on his side and the tweet, “Leave Somizi alone, he’s not obligated to say a word,” quenches the fire. Rami Chuene weighs in on the matter automatically diverting attention to the perpetrator:
@MacGUnleashed NO. That episode was NOT “raw & unfiltered” but Disrespectful and Discriminatory. As an LGBTQI+ ally I humbly ask that you take my 2 episodes down. I honestly thought you had a good thing going. How unfortunate but homophobia will never be a joke. Unacceptable.
