Woman arrested for injuring husband’s side chick
Nomatter Kurehwatira (32) of Mazikana village under Chief Marange seriously injured her husband’s small house. She has been jailed for three months.
Nomatter pleads guilty before Mutare magistrate Nyasha Kuture. She however, denies using a brick to harm her opponent during the assault. The judge disagrees with her because there was enough evidence proving she did.
The court granted Nomatter an option to pay a fine of ZW1500 before 26 February 2021. She should not commit any similar offence in the next five years.
A witness told the court that in 2020 at night In Mazikana village, Nomatter visited Rebecca Nyagura and started accusing her of having an affair with her husband. In pain and with anger, Nomatter starts to hit Rebecca. During the fight Rebecca fell and Nomatter took the opportunity to hit her opponent with a brick.
Rebecca hurt her head, back and was experiencing chest pain. The matter was reported to the police and Nomatter was arrested.
