The MDC Alliance headquarters in Harare central business district at Morgan Tsvangirai House, popularly known as Harvest House is still under the control of MDC Alliance president Nelson Chamisa.
The report comes after state media reported that the former secretary general Douglas Mwonzora has seized control of the party’s offices. Mwonzora is reported to have locked the party offices until the 21 days lockdown are over.
MDC Alliance secretary general Chalton Hwende refuted the claims and reiterated he is in charge of the day-to-day running of the party business and that he still has control over Harvest House.
MDC Alliance Youth Assembly president Tererai Obey Sithole called a press conference at the entrance of the party’s offices this morning. He talked about a number of issues most notably the youth’s action plan for 2020 in the fight against Zanu PF.
