Motsweding Radio took to Twitter to pronounce the untimely death of the celebrated sports presenter.

The news comes whilst the entertainment fraternity is in mourning co-founder of Mzansi’s iconic streetwear label Loxion Kulća, Wandi “DJ 1D” Nzimande.
Wandi was a phenomenal presenter who won the hearts of Mzansi. He was affectionally known by many as DJ 1D. The talented presenter was dupped as the King of Kaya FM.
News of his passing sent shockwaves across social media platforms and messages of condolences are pouring in Kaya FM, a Johannesburg-based radio station, where he worked as a resident DJ confirmed the news of his passing in a statement on social media.
“Wandi was a friend and brother to so many staff members. We will miss his genuine interactions with people in the building and the work ethic he brought into every mix. It has been a real honour working with a cultural icon like him,” said Ncebakazi Manzi, Kaya FM’s Acting Programming Manager.
His latest project was on SABC 1’s Evolution of Mzansi Street Culture. Upon hearing the sad news, it didn’t take much time for Mzansi to weighed in with condolences messages.
Multi-award-winning DJ Black Coffee also took to social media to express his shock following his passing, “No ways!!!!! @Dj1D,” wrote the DJ on Twitter. Cassper Nyovest paid tribute to him and said he always motivated everyone.
However, TV stars including Euphonik, Sizwe Dhlomo, and Maps Maponyane also reacted to the news of his passing and extended their condolences to his family.
