Gushongo Empire crumbling
The later former president of Zimbabwe Robert G Mugabe’s empire is crumbling. This is after some revelations that Gushungo Dairy Estate is on a lease to a company owned by a millionaire businessman.
The once flourishing chicken and pig enterprise at Mugabe’s home in Zvimba is also on a serious downfall. Insiders say Mugabe’s widow who is in charge of the empire is struggling to manage the huge empire resulting in the business failing to about 20% of its actual capacity.
Robert Mugabe during his tenure as the leader of the country created huge business empire using the state’s resources especially farms. The farms are twenty-one in total.
This however, contradicts with the one man one farm land policy. Once removed from power the business and farms started derailing.
Some of the business accumulated by the former president are unknown but sources say that the empire is quite huge and worth billions of dollars.
