Prophet Shepherd Bushiri And Mary Bushiri Granted Bail At R200K Each. The much-awaited bail hearing has been granted to the Bushiri’s. The Pretoria Magistrate’s Court has decided that the Bushiris be released on bail set at R200k each.
The couple has spent a few weeks detained while waiting for their bail verdict. Mary Bushiri was nabbed on the 19th of October after they were served warrants of arrests by the Hawks.
Learning of his wife’s arrest the self-proclaimed prophet handed over himself to the police. The arrest of the Bushiri’s has left Mzansi divided.

This morning Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary Bushiri appeared again in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court to hear the outcome of their ongoing bail application hearing. It was decided by the Magistrate that the controversial church leaders received bail at R200 000 for each of them.
The duo has been barred from travelling outside of the Gauteng Province. The Magistrate Court also ordered the two to surrender their estate title deeds.
The Bushiri’s are also banned from making any contact with state witnesses. The state papers also stated that the accused was barred from making threats to congregants and those who do not follow them.
Prior to the successful bail application, the duo has seen their case being postponed three times since the pair were arrested. On Monday this week, it was decided the hearing will proceed on Wednesday this morning. The controversial church leaders face a number of charges.
The charges against Bushiri and his wife keep pilling up by the day. The church leaders were initially charged with fraud, money laundering and theft, but the charges are set to increase and include contravening certain provisions of the Immigration Act.
