Zimbabweans who travelled to Tanzania for are now stranded. They have been asked to self isolate for 14 days at their own cost.
Zimbabweans usually go to Tanzania to order clothes and other wares or their business. Ex-Japanese cars destined for Zimbabwe are also dropped in Dar es Salaam. Car dealers travel to Tanzania to collect their cars.
The travellers will only be rescued on March 28 by Zimbabwe’s flag carrier Air Zimbabwe which has grounded its fleet and suspended all flights. The final flight will be to Dar es Salaam to bring stranded Zimbabweans home.
