As we speak, the whole world is dealing with the spread of Corona Virus. the disease started in Wuhan inn China.
The disease has reached the rest of the world. Europe is now the epicentre. It is important for you and me to know that Africa will not be spared.
The other term it is known by is COVID-19. It is caused by a flue like virus, but with symptoms worse than flue. You feel to lose power, difficulties in breathing. You can contract corona virus by touching surfaces touched by an infected person. It contracts in the nose, mouth and other openings like eyes. It spreads from one person to the next.
The world is managing the spread through social distancing. It is lessening your attendants on gatherings. Social distances lessens the spread of the virus.
Once you get the virus, your chances of surviving are more than the chances of dying. You should cough using a tissue.
What are other countries doing about prevention?
They are encouraging to wash hands with running water. We should learn to do it. Go with your soap wherever you go. We need to learn to have a habit of washing hands. Carry your own water and soap.
If you travel abroad, it is important for you to self quarantine yourself for 14 days if you have traveled from a risky country. It is your responsibility to self quarantine yourself. The important aspect is to understand that it is not only the government that should carry out measures.
