Simmy tried to start her career up by auditioning for SA idols and SA has got Talent but was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, she kept on perfecting her soothing vocals incorporating her brother’s R’n ‘B influence. Meanwhile, Simmy met Sun El Musician in 2013 through his young brother and when she sang for him he was impressed. However, she had to delay working with Sun El because she had to finish her studies first. Later on, in 2017 she was signed to El World Music and began working with Sun El on his ‘Africa To The World’ album. When the album was released, songs that she featured on especially ‘Ntaba Ezikude’ became favourites and received massive airplay. Ntaba Ezikude and Ubala videos were released and upon seeing the beautiful songbird, people loved her. This is definitely a success story.
