Zim COVID deaths rise to 9.
This was announced by the Ministry of Health and Child Care on Monday evening.
A 54-year-old Bulawayo man has become the 9th person to die from Covid-19 in Zimbabwe. He died hours after admission at a private hospital.
Two new local transmissions are part of the 18 new cases announced by the Health Ministry, bringing cases to date to 734.

The rise in Zim covid death toll comes at a time when Zimbabwe has lifted some Covid-19 restrictions by reopening its national parks to the public and allowing restaurants to start serving food within their premises.
Lockdown regulations allowed restaurants to stay open for their full licensed hours but limited them to takeaway services.
Zimbabwe is slowly reopening its economy despite a spike in new Covid-19 cases.
The government says most of the cases being reported are citizens returning from countries such as South Africa, Botswana, and the United Kingdom.
Thousands of citizens have returned to Zimbabwe since the virus outbreak.
Thousands are being held at isolation centers across the country for a mandatory 21 days before they are allowed to join their families.

Last Saturday, Zimbabwe reported the death of a 21-year-old female from Harare Province who tested positive today. The woman is Zimbabwe’s youngest victim to date.
Zimbabwe’s three-match ODI series with Australia scheduled for August 9-15 was postponed indefinitely by mutual agreement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Local transmissions are also on the rise with the Zimbabwean Government saying it is worried about the rate of local transmissions.
