R&B singer Chris Brown is facing renewed social media scrutiny following a heated public exchange with content creator @doliestv. The dispute, which began over an Instagram comment, quickly escalated into a viral confrontation involving allegations of colorism, drug use, and personal threats.
The tension reportedly began when Brown commented on a photo of a woman resembling his ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, using fire emojis. The interaction pivoted when Brown directed insults at @doliestv, mocking the creator’s physical appearance by referring to his nose as a “yam.”
The comment sparked an immediate and profane rebuttal from @doliestv, who uploaded a video through the outlet Livebitez to address the singer directly.
In the viral video, @doliestv leveled a series of personal and professional critiques against Brown, questioning his legacy and character.
“You’re a known colorist… you don’t have no talent,” the creator stated in the video. “You not Michael Jackson, you a wannabe Michael Jackson. I will beat the f*** out of you, bro. I promise you not like that.”
The creator further alleged that Brown’s musical relevance has declined, claiming the singer “had to use Usher” for his upcoming tour to maintain commercial momentum. In a separate Instagram post, @doliestv accused Brown of harboring a bias against Black women and “Black features.”
Brown, 36, responded to the accusations in a comment section with laughter emojis, dismissing the creator’s outrage.
“You sound hurt my boy,” Brown wrote. “I’m lame but you thought this was real news to make a post about another n***a.” The singer concluded the remark with a disparaging comment directed at the creator’s family.
This latest incident follows a long history of public volatility for Brown, whose career has been marked by both chart-topping success and significant legal and ethical controversies. Despite the online backlash, Brown is currently preparing for a highly anticipated joint tour with Usher.
The exchange has divided fans online, with some defending Brown’s right to clap back at critics, while others argue the interaction reinforces long-standing criticisms regarding his temperament and views on race. Representatives for Brown have not issued a formal statement regarding the incident.
