Maskandi singer Mroza Fakude finds himself in a tumultuous situation, seeking forgiveness from his ex-girlfriend, Nosipho Mhlongo, after an alleged assault that left her with a broken leg. The incident unfolded when Nosipho demanded the return of her car from Mroza, who reportedly attacked her.
In a poignant recorded message, the Van Damme hitmaker tearfully implores Mhlongo: “Sthandwa sami, please forgive me. I regret beating you. I don’t know what came over me to behave in such a manner. You know my problems, and you’ve supported me throughout. There is no me without you. I am truly sorry for the things I did to you, my love. I’m really sorry. Please forgive me.”
Last week, ZiMoja reported that Mroza had gone into hiding in KwaZulu Natal following the assault, which allegedly occurred in Boksburg on the East Rand. Mhlongo, a businesswoman, claims that Mroza used a spanner to attack her when she attempted to retrieve her car from a panel beater. She had enlisted the help of a tracking company to locate the vehicle.
Despite Mroza’s pleas for forgiveness, Mhlongo remains resolute. She states, “I want to teach him a lesson. That man nearly killed me with a spanner. My businesses are on hold because I can’t walk since he broke my leg.” Mhlongo further reveals that Mroza visited her family and offered to buy a goat as a symbolic gesture of remorse. However, she asserts, “I don’t need his goat; I will be fine without it.” Notably, Mroza’s father and two brothers accompanied him during the visit, where they apologized for the violent incident.
Colonel Noxolo Kweza, the Gauteng Police spokesperson, confirms that an assault case has been opened against the singer, and authorities are actively seeking him.
