Anele Mdoda wanted to be there for her son’s first day back at school this year. So, she devised a “master plan” to do both that and her radio show. The 947 Breakfast Club host took their equipment from the radio station and went to the headmaster’s office at Reddam House Helderfontein and did her show from her son’s school.
“I always have to choose between Alakhe’s first day of school and the show, but this year… I decided to do both. [So], I came up with a master plan #Aneleandtheclubon947,” the popular radio host posted on her timelines.
In a video posted on X, Mdoda was seen doing her show live from her son’s school on his first day back after the holidays.
Many children in Gauteng head back to school. @anele didn't want to miss her son, Alakhe's first day & decided to surprise him at his school.

“Doing the show live from Alakhe’s school and he doesn’t know. He thinks only Dad is here but Mommy is sneaky #Aneleandtheclubon947!!!” she wrote in another post.”
