Mbaliyesizwe Ngiba, the Umkhokha actress, singer and former Real Housewives of Durban star, has apologised for yelling at a security officer.
A video of the Ngizwide singer went viral on social media recently. In the video, the actress is seen shouting at the officer at Hotel Skye in Sandton, Johannesburg.
“You think you are everything with your fckn R4 000 salary. You are here because of us,” Ngiba is heard shouting.
“What do you think you are? Security that does not earn much, you do not even have matric.”
On Tuesday, Ngiba apologised on Instagram, saying she had a few drinks before the incident. She said she does not remember what happened, but her reaction was caused by a rude treatment that she and her crew got from the security guard.
Ngiba said: “We were going out of the hotel and we did not know that we needed a code to leave, and the person who came with us had already gone.
“I asked the security guard to open for us, but he was rude to us.
“I think he said something to me and because I was drunk, I got angry and said things I should not have said.
“I am ashamed of the language that I used when I see that video.” She also said sorry to the security officer, her fans, and those who look up to her.
“I want to say sorry to the security officer, I hurt his feelings, and to those who know me. Know that I do not disrespect other people,” she said. “I let down my fans, I know that you were surprised by me because you had never seen that side of me.”
Ngiba said she knows the reason for the video, and she also knows who told someone to post the video on social media.
“I was doing a show and it was not the same as something I always wanted to do. I had to pick.
“I know who did this [recording and sharing the video], but I will not say their names.
“It is not a coincidence that one day a video of me would be online and then the next day a new cast for that show is revealed.
“It hurts that they are promoting their work with tricks.”
