Former Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane’s farewell message to Kaizer Chiefs legend Frank Pereira surprised fans. Jingles, as he was known, was part of the famous Kaizer Chiefs’ quadruple-winning team of 1981. Pereira died on 4 September 2023 at the age of seventy-seven, and most Chiefs fans had been mourning.

Sharing on his Instagram, Pitso poured out his heart, expressing how much Jingle inspired him. “The legend whose football name I inherited,” he started. “The first time I met Frank ‘Jingles’ Pereira was in Russia at the World Cup in 2018. What an honour to have met the player that influenced me since my high school playing days,” he continued. “Sending my condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace,” he finished.
