Makhadzi received a warm welcome at this year’s Durban July event, leaving her fans, known as khazinators, in awe. The singer shared a clip of her performance on social media, which received a lot of love. However, it was the introduction from the MC when she was about to perform that really shook things up.
Makhadzi was shown love by celebrities such as Pearl Thusi, Lamiez Holworthy, and Clement Maosa, who joined in the fun when she was entertaining the crowd. The Limpopo-born musician also rubbed shoulders with EFF politicians Julius Malema, accompanied by his wife Mantwa, and Floyd Shivambu.
In her social media mentions, her fans were moved by the love she received. One fan wrote, “That’s what I’m talking about! That intro was just powerful and I give it a 100.” Another added, “Your humility will take you far. I love you so much.”

Somizi’s Grand Entrance
When it comes to grand entrances, TV and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo takes the cake. Somizi, who hosted DJ Tira’s Afrotainment marquee, left no crumbs with his seven outfit changes.
The media personality channeled an alien look and was carried into the venue by men holding him up in a makeshift alien cage. Shortly after this, he started his multiple outfit changes, at one point twinning with his daughter Bahumi Mhlongo.
