Amapiano artist Pabi Cooper and SETE hitmaker K.O have been nominated for the Best New International Act at the 2023 BET Awards, representing South Africa.
They will compete against Eswatini-born Uncle Waffles, as well as Aya Nakamura (France), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Burna Boy (Nigeria), Central Cee (UK), Ella Mai (UK), L7nnon (Brazil), Stormzy (UK), and Tiakola (France).
All three artists expressed their excitement and gratitude on social media. K.O simply stated that he was “grateful,” while Pabi announced her nomination with excitement and Uncle Waffles expressed his amazement and thanks.
