Zimbabwe traffic police are fining $500 to motorists who are driving without a mask.
A motorist called Mhlanga was arrested today for failing to put on a face mask whilst driving a car. He was charged $500 by police manning a roadblock at Cleveland and Prince Edward Road in Harare.
Zimbabwe is currently in level two of the national lockdown as part of the government’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19. Under level 2, businesses are allowed to operate after complying with the guidelines such as testing and hygienic conditions.
